Zyx types in the coordinates and sets up autopilot. they back away from the controls and take off their bloodied boots. "there we go. finally. peace and quiet." they stretch out their whole body. they lie down in a hangmat they have in the ship, musing to themselves "peace and quiet..." but the camera zooms out more and more and they seem more and more uneasy, until they are small in the darkness of the ship, curled up and saying "whatever..." the ship flies away from the planet, away from the solar system. this is a big establishing shot showing the ship as it flies towards the reader. the dialogue is cut off "what..." the dialogue from the previous page is picked up here. "ever" is small next to the tiny space ship in the big vast nothingness of space.

They are trembling with rage but suddenly they can hear the police. After ducking away shortly they get up and towards more machinery. "just my luck" they say annoyed. "really can't use these clowns right now" they say as they remove a panel from some random controls. They say "fuck everything. fuck." as they grab inside and fiddle with cables. Suddenly they get electroduced and curse in an alien language. Calming themselves down like Hades in the disney hercules movie zyx says to themselves "ahaha that's alright. yeah. just... FINE" at the final word they explode in rapge and assault the machinerey of the ship. In the end they stand in smoke and huff "that should do the trick." The engines whirr alive once more and zyx goes back to the pilots' seat. "now where to?" they wonder. getting out a dart from their pocket they throw it towards a map they have hanging on the wall. "Bingo!" they proclaim when the dart hits the target.

Zyx proclaims that "this was lame" as they look back on the massacre they left behind. With a sigh they take the emergency stairs down onto the roof of another building and walk away. "This planet is full of losers. I should leave this place, the sooner the better." Zyx dangerously balances on some metal bars while going to their ship that they've been hiding behind another billboard. "At least on (censored) they're entertaining. decent challenge. sickos." They enter the ship saying "well, whatever". They make themselves comfortable in their pilots' seat and sigh in relief. "ah home sweet home. alright then, let's get off this miserable rock!" The engines roat and Zyx is ready for liftoff, but then they die down suddenly. "You gotta be shitting me" they scream and get up and go towards some machinery. "now's not the time!" they kick it and hurt their toes "YOUCH!" they yelp.

little comic I originally planned to make for shortbox. now obviously i'm not part of the shortbox lineup, but i ended up making the comic anyways.

Zyx just killed a guy and stands in the blood "my booties!" they say, before looking at the corpse again and then shrugging it off saying "eh not my problem" Zyx throws the corpse off the railing of the billboard maintainance scaffolding and notes something in their notebook. "done and done!" they proclaim. Now they lean back annoyed "what now, though? ugh..." they wonder. they frolic back inside past the corpses of many aliens and grab their backpack.

It is ridiculous how humans think that their importance would halt the very being of the universe. The earth continued onwards when the dinosaurs went extinct. And so it will now, because you cannot exist unaffected by the #HeavyForce.

The scientists and other workers at Futura Fortuna are waiting for something to happen. Research is slow. The tension looms heavy over them. Some carry the burden of hope, others are in deep despair.
Not that it matters... The line between the both is non-existent at that point, anyways.
