I wonder how many minds were decided in favour of aliyah by this harassment and abuse?

Bet you tiny human's adult has been making him wait for snacks until big brother is home from school 😊

The newer headlights are seizure triggers for me, really bad. The cool blue LEDs just strobe with the car's movement.

I don't go out if it means coming home after dark (sunset here is currently 4 pm).

Whatever puts your brain in the best conditions for sleep.
For me, that's very much about avoiding energy-raising stimuli in favour of calming, settling things.

I do like to watch my two-hour Thai movies (the ones you criticise as slow) earlier though, to enjoy their mood longer.

Aren't US sheet cakes just cake baked flat and low instead of round and high?
UK slices & traybakes are also flat and low but with different (ratios of) ingredients and textures than cake. Typically more goo, less floury, no icing, more lovely.

Both are good 👍 but "Torah in the Blinking Cursor" is fantastic while also pointing at the subject. It's very inviting to find out more. Plus it's memorable.

Cadence & Covenant puts me in mind of Jane Austen. Maybe save that for her novel? 😉

Just my reactions, I'll read it however it's called.

"Profess to believe" is also a give away. Catholics have the communal "profession of faith" as part of every church service, which is an affirmation of theism + a lot of specific extra stuff. Anglicans have one too.
Maybe (some of) the evangelical denoms use "profess" for "accepting Jesus", unsure.

It's getting to the point where the young actors might call me yai instead of auntie 👻

Worth giving it a go, see how you get on. But if you can, do bring something sturdy with wheels to help you get it back home. Wet laundry is *heavy*.
