After three trips. in three days, I got 2 pairs of blue socks!!! Just need the green now & then my set is complete. Though, I'm not sure how much more #McDonalds meals I can take 🤣 --- too much McDs this week. I usually go once every few months.

4 days in, three McDonald's were out of Grinch socks
I got the Grinch socks!! I got yellow socks in my box & my son got red socks in his box. I really wanted the yellow, so yay! I thought I had two pairs of socks but, no, my son decided to keep his socks

4 days in, three McDonald's were out of Grinch socks

Carfax just sent me notification that my old car for 20yrs was serviced. I bought 4 new tires last year and a new battery Feb 2023. It had 148,274m at trade.
The car is now in NC w/ 148,289m. They replaced the battery(?!), rotated the tires & oil change. It’s left NY and is in NC. Interesting & sad

I missed #Caturday 😿 but here is Pumpkin when we got her to "foster" in Nov 2022, compared to Nov 2024. They told us she was over a year but she continued growing until summer 2023. I'm thinking she was around 7mo when we got her. (She was a feral, had one litter of kittens who were all adopted.)

I'm baking lasagna with my grandma's tomato sauce. I haven't made lasagna since high school. Hope it turns out good, lol. My son doesn't like turkey. Every year I cook it and every year he has a little bit and then doesn't touch the leftovers. So not doing that this year.

The vet called with Blizzard’s bloodwork results. He has high thyroid levels and might have hypothyroidism. Does this obese cat look like he has that? 🤔 We are to retest in about 6 weeks.

With the help of my son, I got the cone of shame on Penni!
It didn't go well. She put her paws through to remove it. I made it tighter. She's still managed to get it off. Will try again even tighter.

As I was gathering the cats for their vet appt, Penni & Pumpkin got into a bad fight! Pumpkin attacked her mom. After getting the cats in the car, my son exclaimed look at Penni. She was bleeding from the eye! Good thing we're on the way to the vet. Pumpkin cut Penni's third eyelid.

Though poorly labeled -- No, it's not for scratching. It's a deterrent to keep them off of places, i.e. counters.
Since it keeps cats off of counters, I suppose it does work to prevent them from scratching but I've never tried to use it that way.
That tape is why Pumpkin stays away from my TV.

I did try to keep them separated for a bit bc I have a little room that's all set up for cats only but they both cry non-stop when shut in a room.
