Though, granted, the girls were tired, and the boys just looked like they were trying not to tick the girls off. Which was fair, especially where Mira was involved. And speaking of Mira, she was the first to break the silence after the elevator doors slid open. “I still never agreed to this, I want to make that very clear,” she said as she shoved her way out of everyone and marched into the penthouse. “So I’m going to bed.” “Mira, hold on—” Rumi tried to call after her, but Mira was already most of the way up the stairs by the time Rumi managed to push everyone else out of the elevator. She put her hands on her hips and sighed. “She’ll probably be more receptive to the idea after she’s gotten some sleep,” Zoey said, finding her way through the boys to arrive at Rumi’s side. “But, uh, in the meantime…” The remaining two girls turned back to the group of demons standing awkwardly behind them. “Well, first things first, I guess; let’s get those cuts cleaned up. That means you, too, Abby,” Rumi said as she started to head to their little kitchen area. She looked over her shoulder and added, “Come on, hurry it up.’ “Yeah, we’re coming,” Baby said, arms crossed, as he and Abby walked over.

A fan fiction titled "Second Chances Are Often Undeserved, And Yet They're Given To Us Anyway" for the fandom Kpop Demon Hunters. The summary of the fic is: “Wow. A ‘second chance’? That’s the best you could come up with? Please,” he scoffed. “Things like us? We don’t deserve second chances. We don’t deserve to try again. That’s not how it works. Not for demons. We all know that.” The other boys all shifted a bit uncomfortably, but they gave small nods of agreement nonetheless. “We don’t even have our own souls,” Abby said, eyes off to the side. “You shouldn’t let that stop you from living a better life,” Rumi said. “You have the chance for something more, an opportunity to be better, so you should take it. Don’t let this pass you by.” Baby scoffed again and crossed his arms. “It’ll be a waste of all our time.” “Well, even if it is, then at least you can say that you tried."
