Oz & US do boosters every 10 years. Not UK. UK relies on ‘herd immunity’ from vaccinating young children & expectant mothers. Vaccination levels have dropped & UK in 2024 saw a whooping cough epidemic resulting in baby deaths.

UK here. I contracted whooping cough early May 24. I’m over 65. It was severe coughing until September. Lost voice for 3 months, still not recovered. Having speech therapy in a couple of months. Coughing finally stopped at Christmas. Vaccinations only last for 10 years.

Why don’t the parents actually play; I mean physically play with their children instead of continuing to use tech to entertain them. Probably put it on tik tok to see how many follows it gets - jeeeeezzzzz!!

This is being used by the right wing owning huge tracts of our land to mobilise a uniformed sector to create yet another ‘wedge issue’. Only landowners like Dukes/Aristocracy/landed gentry/Billionaires & multimillionaires (Dyson & Clarkson are the tip of the iceberg) are affected by the change

What’s with the need for our top civil servant to have ‘charisma’. They need to be able to carry out their role effectively, efficiently and with integrity. They’re running the civil service FGS not competing in a popularity contest!

Guardian/Observers recent reporting has subtly changed (dailymailification?) in the past couple of years. With a stable of top class journalists (yourself included) whose investigative journalism has broken some of the biggest stories in recent times, selling out is damnably wasteful.
