Great game of #strengthandhonour last night, using the Zama scenario from the Conquest expansion. I (Romans) felt like it was going well until it wasn’t which happened in a couple of turns. I called Haemonculus Est! and turns out Ian had drawn every 3 value setback card in the deck. #spreadthelard

Tried out “The Baron’s War” rules last night, using the Dark Age “Conquest” supplement. Vikings vs Saxons, a lot of fun, the game played fast and was lots of back and forth interactions. I can see me picking up the 2nd ed start set that comes out soon, or once I’ve cleared my backlog a bit….

Finished painting this Apothecary’s shop yesterday, getting ready for the release of Guards of Traitor’s Toll from Grey for Now games. It’s a 3D print, cost less than £20 from eBay.

Battle of Zama using #strengthandhonour rules. I don’t have a desert grid mat, so Zama is a bit greener than I pictured it! Engrossing game so only got one photo during deployment. Close fight but Scipio and the Romans triumphed with a well timed Haemonculus Est

2 games of #midgard last night, Vikings V Saxons, “none shall pass” scenario. Game ended fast when I rolled double 1 for both heroes in risk to hero tests, Viking morale collapsed. Game 2 better for me, aggressive attacking drove the Saxons back and reduced their reputation to zero. #spreadthelard

Sharp Practice ACW this evening. Union forces, led by Col. Pat McGroin attempted to catch rebel leader Red Crotchburn who had holed up in a farm. Coming to his aid the were forces led by John “Dixie” Normus. Game ended with the rebels driving the federal force off. #spreadthelard #sharppractice

Looking back at hobby stuff over 2024, I’ve got a surprising amount done. ACW for Sharp Practice, 2mm Romans for S&H, 15mm Romans for EHC, a retinue for Ruckus, several Warhammer UW warbands I’m proud of, a good amount of terrain, even found time for some stuff I just liked not tied to a game.
