Going from assuming the worst and not even considering it to actually reading one with plans to read and find more that I enjoy seems like a noticeable change of thought.

I genuinely felt the same way, but I gave one of them a chance and I actually really enjoy the one I’m listening to! It’s totally not everyone’s cup of tea though and I can definitely see myself being extremely picky on what I read in the future.

I usually think of those anime’s with entire sentences for titles when I think of isekai, with the same copy paste plot as each other that generally doesn’t have much appeal to me 😭 it’s very unfortunate that they’re so overabundant because it makes me want to never touch them if I can help it.

I don’t like isekais at all but I was definitely one of those people who would assume the worst when it came to litrpgs. I’ve actually started reading them (one series for now, I’ll look for more when I’m caught up) but I recognize now that I’ll be pretty stingy when it comes to the genre.

God you’re so real for that bc I personally have a STRONG aversion and dislike to isekai as a whole, and I almost didn’t try the series I’m reading now cause my dad suggested it as an isekai… I wouldn’t consider it an isekai though and I’m on book 10 so ig I wound up liking it 😭

It definitely felt like the battles just DRAGGED on but I still found it enjoyable, lots of fun moments but not one of my favorite books so far
