The lack of any dominant team in the American League makes the season look like a simulation where every team is regressed to the mean.

The 2025 Tigers have now matched the win total of the 2024 Tigers.

This year, the Tigers are in the process of the biggest collapse in MLB history. Last season, they had one of the most unimaginable comebacks ever. Their record is the same, but the seasons are so different.

Torkelson and Greene have become the second pair of homegrown Tigers to hit 30 homeruns in the same season. The only other duo was Greenberg and York in 1937, 1938 and 1940. Hat tip to chasfh at Motown Forums.

Jahmai Jones is the 13th Jones to play for the Tigers. The best one was early 20th Century outfielder Davy Jones who accumulated 9 WAR. www.baseball-reference.com/players/j/jo...

It's disappointing that the Tigers had nobody better than Brieske available to pitch in the 8th inning of a 0-0 game. Their bullpen hasn't blown a lot of games this year, but I think that's where they'll be looking for help at the deadline.

Ryan Cusick appears to be a classic good stuff poor command minor league pitcher who walks everybody. I am assuming the Tigers see something that they think they can fix.

It's been a rough series. This is the first time since the opening series versus the Dodgers that Tigers fans have been brought back to reality. They've got a good team, but it's not going to be all magic all the time.

I am finally watching Tigers extra inning games now even though it's fake baseball. That's how much I like the 2025 Tigers.

Wow, the Rockies are awful. The Padres crushed them 21-0 today. The only more lopsided shutout since 1900 was 22-0 by the Pirates over the Cubs on September 16, 1975.

Every hitter on the Tigers active roster has a wRC+ of more than 100 except Jace Jung.

Rest in Peace Chet Lemon. One of the stalwarts of the 1980s Tigers, Mr Lemon was underrated because he was surrounded by so much talent. He was really good though, almost Hall of Fame quality. This one makes me sad.

So far this year, this is the most entertaining Tigers team in a long time. They are playing well in EVERY phase of the game and everyone is contributing. As good as the 2011-2014 team was, they were very top heavy and always had weaknesses. The current team looks more like the mid 80s teams.

Of all the great things happening with the Tigers so far, I am most happy about Torkelson. After all the frustration for him and also for fans, it's great to see him get off to a tremendous start this year including big hits at the best times.

I've always believed that baseball managers get to much credit and too much blame for things that players do...but AJ Hinch's roster management might the best I've ever seen.

According to FanGraphs.com, the Tigers have the highest playoff probability of any team in the American League. I know those things need to be take with a grain of salt, but when was the last time that happened at this time of year.

Brewer Hicklen is getting the call to replace the injured Margot...This makes sense because I used to think the Tigers organization should be more like the Brewers! I say "used to" because I like where the Tigers are going now.

The Tariff calculations sound very simplistic. It's like fielding percentage or batting average

Five-way tie for first in the AL Central.

I still don't like instant replay review. It takes too long and they still get it wrong too often...Also hate hate hate hate the extra inning runner.

Great game ruined by replay review.

Brewer - or is it Tiger - Hicklen appears to be a career minor leaguer who can play all 3 outfield positions and can steal a bunch of bases. I guess he is insurance for the next injured outfielder.

Torkelson becomes the 7th Tiger to draw 4 walks and hit a homer in the same game. The last one was JD Martinez in 2017 (2 hrs, 4 walks). Others were Deer, C. Fielder, Fryman, Cullenbine, J.Thompson. stathead.com/baseball/pla...
