😂🥰 I love that you're a Clive Merrison/BBC/Bert Coules fan, too - that's my favorite adaptation but I feel like no one knows about it! Merrison/Cochrane are SO. GOOD, and the way Coules fleshed out their friendship is authentic and adorable and I love it so much.

Yes! I'm surprised that they aren't more well known today, bc Fortune seemed to be for forensic medicine what Holmes was for criminology. I love watching science and history progress thru the lens of these little mysteries. Good recommendation!

Now that I'm watching "Sherlock" finally, maybe some BBC Johnlock smut will be forthcoming! 😁

Awww!! 🥰 Thank you for that! I think my fics translate well for Sherlock fans because I made Sherlock autistic. I've started watching the BBC show and that version actually reminds me quite a bit of mine, just modern. I know I have some "Sherlock" fan readers.

Best quote in the story!! And it's up to the person where they put the bed, bc this one is "dollhouse" style, but I DID make the headboard solid so that he could theoretically be hiding behind it! One day I'm going to find a doll maker to collaborate with...

My partner and I read aloud to each other as a form of quality time, and we are presently reading a Lam/Cool book!! They're so funny!! I recently bought a stack of Nero Wolfe that I'll be getting into. Sayers is great, altho I've only read Peter Wimsey. Ellery Queen is pretty fun

Oh good! I love the premise so far! I love when the murder happens at a party. Or on a cruise ship. Or in a creepy mansion isolated by weather or whatever. Have any other faves? I recently discovered Mignon Eberhart. A bit later in time, but quite enjoyable.

I'm on a JDC/Gideon Fell kick as we speak!! Just finished "Poison in Jest," which wasn't Fell, and now have started "The Problem of the Green Capsule." You must be a fellow Golden Age of Mysteries fan! I followed you so I wouldn't forget about Reggie Fortune and was looking at your profile ☺️

Thank you! I bought a used copy of the "Omnibus" from eBay. (I like a physical copy for making miniatures bc I make a lot of notes, flip back and forth, etc.) If I end up making a Reggie Fortune miniature it will be yours for the taking! 😊

Just looked him up and he sounds quite fun! I'm definitely going to read the stories now, if nothing else! Thanks!

Yes to both, and I think both would potentially be fun! EQ might be fun bc I'd get to make everything mid-century!! I've also wanted to do some HP Lovecraft and Dune, but I feel like my skills need to be a lot more developed. 😬

I really love this quote! @bluecheesier.bsky.social would like it, too! 😊

I would be making them anyway, so idk, the idea of trying to make a profit off of them doesn't feel right. I get a lot out of making them, it's my biggest cope, so that's my payment! If you ever want one, let me know ☺️

The Bar of Gold! Working on these boxes makes me fall in love with some stories anew and some all over again. This box really gave me an appreciation for "Twisted Lip," such an atmospheric and nifty little tale! Perfect Holmes!
