Funny thing is I could have substituted ACNL for Pokémon XY, but only the postgame part. Like, I can barely remember what that game was about, but that Looker section? Broke my fking brain. Informed my writing and art for years.

Four videogames that changed my life
Started converting some of my concept art to spritework. Honestly thought it'd be harder—it's just LONG. And thank fuck for bases and premade sprites I can work off of.
When this project ends, I'll probably release my NPC customs.

When I was in the translation team for @nightlfy.bsky.social 's Dragon Quest +, I took it upon myself to draw some of the original items in the NES manuals watercolor style. They weren't meant to be used anywhere, but I'd love a chance to do more of that kind of stuff.

When I was in the translation team for @nightlfy.bsky.social 's Dragon Quest +, I took it upon myself to draw some of the original items in the NES manuals watercolor style. They weren't meant to be used anywhere, but I'd love a chance to do more of that kind of stuff.

Try different mediums, a lot of 'em. I've watched people go from shaky pencilwork on paper to great digital art the day they got a tablet. I unexpectedly fell in love with watercolor after trying it randomly.
You can still go back later and practice the mediums that aren't "naturally" easy for you

Quelques maps pour le #fangame Pokémon sur lequel je bosse, enfin quand la V3 de Pokémon Studio sortira. Assets piqués et modifiés + trucs maison. C'est un bon entraînement et j'ai une histoire à raconter avec ce projet alors j'espère aller au bout

After hearing it was a thing for years, I'm getting to the point where I wanna write cool scenes/plot beats but the characters get in the way. Pretty cool coz it means my characterization is strong enough!
And I thought it'd be a pain to deal with but it's actually pretty cool to "listen" to them.

After hearing it was a thing for years, I'm getting to the point where I wanna write cool scenes/plot beats but the characters get in the way. Pretty cool coz it means my characterization is strong enough!
