This comic is from the gilded age. Funny that it feels so incredibly relevant again....

The world if won one tiny act at a time. A single drop of goodwill sends ripples. The problems of the world may seem overwhelming and bigger than any one person can fix. But a million is made up of ones all added together.

Lately it feels like the world is far more than half terrible. It feels like standing on a beach, watching the tsunami crashing towards shore and knowing that the damage will be devestating. But this place, this world, could be beautiful. We could make it beautiful and kind again.

Don't let them take your liberties. Don't keep your head down to keep safe. Our safety is in standing together with our heads held high. Live your life so that you won't be ashamed to tell your grandkids what you did when America went dark.

It's so frustrating to see these events play out and watch people not be concerned. They always step their way into these things. If you're not worried about his "homegrowns" comment, then you weren't paying attention in history class.

Sometimes things feel dark and hopeless. But it's only hopeless once you give up and stop fighting for what's right.
