I live in Ocoee. We visited Hallowed Ground just last weekend. This is the only marker erected in the honor of the people who were massacred. It's hard to find and tucked away in a subdivision. I passed a large Confederate flag on my way to it.

For my father, who went to the Pacfic Theater, and he wanted to fight. He contracted rheumatic fever in Japan. The USS Comfort brought him home. He was 17. I miss you, Daddy. 😔

We recently had the honor of visiting the traveling wall in Orlando. It's a humbling experience. My ex-husband was a Vietnam vet who ultimately died from pancreatic cancer due to exposure to agent orange. I visited the wall in his honor.

Happy Thanksgiving to all. We had a literal cornucopia of delicious food. My turkey turned out perfect. Everyone got stuffed. Had plenty to send home for extra meals with my daughter and grands. Clean up was all done by 6:15 pm. Now I'm going to fronk wine in my pajamas till I'm silly.
