A few days ago I went to get new earbuds. I was just gonna get a generic pair of white ones, but then I saw some that were green, which was unusual...it said VIRGO on the front, and I took it as a sign! Virgo is my 9th house and I'm making travel plans to the U.S for the 1st time in forever... (1/2)

I love synchronicities! I've been heavy into this book this month. Today is #InternationalWomensDay and today I found that the author wrote the chapter on Harriet Tubman's work in women's rights on Women's Day in 2022. It's a text of channeling from Harriet Tubman and also prayers and reflections.

@thecontinent.org thank you to Maya Misikir for such beautiful reporting on Ethiopian singer Mahmoud Ahmed's final concert. It made me feel nostalgia for a time and place I've never knew myself. Listening to the soaring notes of "Tizita" while reading was extra special.
Text: People started arriving at Addis Ababa’s Millennium Hall from 4 p.m. By the time Mahmoud Ahmed stepped onto the stage, it was 1.35 a.m and the place was packed. Despite the long wait, the crowd welcomed him with deafening cheers as he carefully made his way to the microphone, supported by an assistant and a cane. As usual, he was clad in his signature all-white woven traditional outfit. Mahmoud bowed several times, acknowledging the adoration. Then he began to sing. As his familiar voice rang out, live in concert for the very last time, tears flowed down the faces in the audience. It is not for nothing that he is venerated as the king of nostalgia.
