A week ago he had surgery to stop the damage - which involved removing the cataracts. His retina and optical nerve are both still in good shape, so this guy has had his eyesight entirely restored, to what it was YEARS ago. It's been an overwhelming but wonderful ride over the last month or so.

Two weeks ago this guy had full-blown cataracts in both eyes. Near total blindness except a little light sensitivity, and the cataracts growing so quickly they risked rupturing his eye tissues.
