Just submitted my 'tiny map' entry for the @nacis.bsky.social map gallery! @kartenvergnugen.bsky.social is organizing this amazing idea. 4"x6" maps only!

Deadline is Aug. 31 to submit the form, and still have time to make adjustments before #NACIS2025 in October!

A few weeks ago I starting taking pictures of spring flowers during dog walks, to send to my mom to connect with her and send her some joy each day.

Hopefully this brings you a little joy and beauty this morning ❤️

In just ~5 minutes we were able to improve the 1st draft of the map using foundational cartography principles we learned. The 2nd draft could of course be improved further with more time, but the goal was to highlight how just a few minutes of tinkering can really help your map design #FedGIS2025

Decided to map the recent Midwest/Mid-Atlantic snow storm with a color ramp I have been tinkering with. Really cool pattern across the states.

Outside is covered in snow here in D.C.!

This year I got to participate in Esri's countdown to #GISDay2024, and share a map that inspired me.

I selected this map by Amy Tian of the National Parks Conservation Association, mapping the Chesapeake Bay: mapgallery.esri.com/submission-d...
