You gotta check out how Material Design 3 deals with elevation. It got this dual approach that's actually really smart. First, there are the classic shadows. But then they also use shades and tints of the surface color to show depth.

I got his CSS in JS course. It's now my new mdn for CSS. I'm thinking about getting the Joy of React. But I wish it could be taught in TS. I'm really curious how Josh would use Typescript.
