This red aldisa (Aldisa sanguinea) had the most adorable caboose. It was also over an inch long! #nudibranchs #oregoncoast

Got to see my first elegant aeolid (Albronica albronia) and it lived up to its name, what a beauty!

I found my first stubby dendronotid (Dendronotus subramosus) while tidepooling last weekend - they are completely adorable and remind me vaguely of tardigrades!

You can't convince me that the Nanaimo dorid (Acanthodoris nanaimoensis) isn't the closest living relative of the bunny. #nudibranch

Hammerhead doto (Doto amyra) - not the flashiest nudibranch but small enough that finding them is pretty nice. This one looked to be gravid!

The white-and-orange-tipped nudibranch (Antiopella fusca) stands out in the tidepools due to its flashy colors. This one was moving with the incoming tide so most of it was blurry, but I love the detail on the rhinophores. #nudibranch 🦑 #oregontidepools

Other shots of the beautiful white-lined dirona (Dirona albolineata) in my profile picture. It was about 3 inches long and was perched on some very dark kelp making for a nice photo op. 🦑 #nudibranch

This is one of my favorite tide pooling photos, a large ochre sea star (Pisaster ochraceus) with what I think is a tiny ochre sea star (hard for me to tell with the smalls but others can). Nice colors in the background to boot! 🦑

I did that back when I was in high school and don’t really draw like that now. I cartoon my guinea pig instead! I do have hopes of cartooning some nudibranchs.

The purple shore crab (Hermigraspus nudus) has flashy polka-dotted claws (chelipeds) - this big beauty was on Lone Ranch Beach in Oregon.

Not a real artist but did an osprey once -not sure why I went the headshot route, like it was auditioning for a role!

Antiopella fusca (the white-and-orange-tipped or candy corn nudibranch) is always flashy. This little individual had a different look about it. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it may be because the digestive glands (dark line) in each of the cerata (extensions) were very dark. #nudibranch

The Nanaimo dorid (Acanthodoris nanaimoensis) looks like a gumdrop covered in sugar, I always love seeing these little nudis!
