The TIDE #PhDstudents came together this week for their 2nd #ResearchRetreat in Königswinter! The whole group enjoyed scientific poster and oral sessions, lively discussions, plus a refreshing hike up to the #Drachenfels, where science meets nature to build connections.

Some of our TIDE members took part in the stage 16 of cycling #TourDeFrance#MontVentoux July 2025, and rode up the famous Mont Ventoux. It was a tough climb and an amazing experience!

Soyoung attended #ICOE2025 in Coimbra, Portugal and presented her poster on microcavity #OLEDs and took part in discussions on organic electronics. She connected with researchers and students from across Europe, truly an inspiring experience!

Hanan presented her poster “Encapsulation of Graphene Nanoribbons in Hexagonal #BoronNitride using Dry-transfer Method” at Graphene Conference 2025 in San Sebastian. She attended various scientific sessions and found the experience valuable for both knowledge exchange and networking.

To promote our female #PhDstudents, TIDE has a Woman@Science program. At our last event, three female scientists presented their different career paths, followed by discussions in small groups which provided the opportunity to network and ask questions.
