That last FG attempt was pathetic. For all his wins, Matt LeFleur coaches some games like he's on drugs.

The ACA is far from perfect (duh, this applies regardless of how you want to do reform), but last time the GOP had a few years to fill notebooks with ideas the proposal was the most embarrassing "wait, shit, did anyone bring their notebook?" ever.

Sorry, yes, you are correct. You need to know that a procedure *can* be done at "not a hospital" and advocate for it, so it's very anti-patient.
My broader point was that these services, when unplugged from a major provider black box, often behave like other things in our understood reality.

The services that have been scaled and privatized and *actually* have market forces do work this way, though.
Unfortunately that list is tiny. MRIs. Laser corrective eye surgery. Some cosmetic procedures.... And like nothing else.

For some reason that I can't explain, people reserve 100% of their venom for the insurance companies and exactly 0% for hospital groups/providers that just invent prices.
Please, someone, defend a $900 dose of Tylenol or a $300 band-aid.

Most social media sites have erred by making likes/upvotes public. Reddit has this right, and that helps because people can express curiosity or encourage discussion without like-dragnet "gotchas" in the future.
This is one of the only good changes Elon made to X before it became what it is now.

Springsteen sucks (this is subjective) but he is NOT subtle (this is objective).
Maybe in another 40 years or so people will figure out what he was trying to say with that song...

Famously two people of sober judgement.
If Rock is whatever, then why bother with a Hall of Fame? Should John Williams expect a call? He's got some bangers.

My ASD kid would *love* this, and is probably the only safe way for her to do a corn maze.

Oh certainly. That's why he's fine -- in a "this works"sense -- to deploy tactically (that's much of what a VP is good for, after all) or as a surrogate.
Not the kind of thing that works at the top of the ticket, even in our crazy times.

I think he would have played things very differently with her, though. He does have the "debate kid" thing, so whether he held his own or not would be overshadowed by how it wouldn't make him look very likeable.
VP debates are a strange beast. Remember Dick Cheney cracking *jokes* (!?)

People watched him debate Tim Walz and he mostly came across as normal. He can turn it on when he wants to, but that only does so much now b/c he can't erase all the video of him out there, acting crazy.

And if it's not easy to spin up your environment / model and kick the tires, there's other fundamental issues going on that make me a lot more upset than whether you're playing games with priors!
