Was in the middle of crocheting this blanket, but I guess I'm done because it's snuggle time.

My throat has been kinda sore (and with two negative tests I'm pretty certain it's not COVID) so I tried my hand at making my own soup tonight with what we happened to have, and! It! Was! Good! Very soothing. I think I'm becoming a soup girlie.

We're leaning in fully to the Oct 31 vs Nov 1 Halloween-Christmas meme vibes, plus Marcille on Sunday. I'm excited to do a weekend of rewears, something obscenely rare for me. Makes concrunch nonexistent, which I like.

I found perfect fabric for an Olethra MacLeod cosplay that I've been itching to get to work with—my first full linen skirt! And I'm gonna make a skirt catch for it (also a first!!)! Pics for reference, this outfit has been gnawing at my brain since it dropped.

I was going to dress more casually but felt weird about going to the symphony in jeans. And...yes...this is a thinly veiled excuse to wear my @forestgirlclothing.bsky.social Mary, Mary skirt again, which is probably my favorite item in my closet right now. 💜

So for the base of her skirt, I opted to try a half-circle with a half-elastic waist. I'm also using horsehair for the first time, so this photo is my pinned-in test before I decided I liked it and went forward with hemming!

I have some plans with the gold trim—maybe going to do some crochet?

Instagram has long been my photo dump, but I love these Sylvain pics too much to not at least TRY posting them here!

@adoylible.bsky.social took some INCREDIBLE pictures of me back in March at the libraries at UW, and it was such an irreplaceable experience to me. Let's start with my two faves!!

I made quite a few modifications to the pattern, from sizing it up to making the back elastic for some breathing room and stretchiness. It was enjoyable to follow a commercial pattern again, though! And nice to add something new to my closet. 💚

I made a skirt for myself, very happy with how it came out! Used a nice linen look in a lovely shade of green that this dark bathroom lighting just does not capture that well. Lol. Got to dig through my button stash for this one, which was fun!
