Right, I don't get this. A decade ago or something like that, I remember reading that one of the big reasons was that AV1 had a sizeable bitrate for bitrate improvement over VP9.

Something like ~33% reduced bitrate for the same quality?

What happened?

If buying isn't owning, then pirating isn't stealing. I like to go the middle road, I buy a game, I get the privilege to pirate it.
If bought for platform A, I will pirate it for platform B.

This thing cools so well it freezes my feet, while overclocking the hell out of the CPU/GPU, sitting at a comfy 60C on average gaming use.

Something about Astral Dragon and ramping with Flagstones of Trokair just tickles my fancy.

Not selling 'pay to win' for things like visibility I can totally get behind. Paying for viewing does seem a sliding scale the opposite way, although I understand it fits the model better and if implemented fairly I don't see a problem. But at the same time transcoding media seems expensive.

I just discovered Project Cartographer yesterday too, which is keeping that classic Halo 2 vibe alive, aside from not many players playing. But since I'm still doing LAN parties with friends this is just another fun way to play that isnt MCC.

But in games tho? Man I've tried playing an action game like that with a frame limiter off, just finishing a level is an impossible task.

Been doing this for years. I think I heard the idea from John Carmack. As long as you can follow it and doesn't annoy you, it just helps you get through things fast.

Not a hardcore speedrunner myself but I dabbled in Castlevania, Crash Team Racing and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle.
I've never started a run in SM64 but I really love seeing people rip through that too.

Great games and great communities

I love games that allow for a broad range for people to express themselves. Anime fighters, Magic the Gathering or ARPGs (specifically Path of Exile) are among my favorite games.

I usually trust my different circles that share a similar interest and taste in games. Other times just game footage sells itself by checking all my personal boxes.

For IPs I'm not too familiar with I like to read/watch reviews in this day of remasters or ports and whether or not they are faithful.
