Looks like around 0.5 GW of Nuclear went offline this morning. Not being conspiracy-minded or anything, I just noticed it while impulsively checking www.energydashboard.co.uk/live 👀

Just under 50% of UK grid is being supplied by wind & solar alone at this moment. It was just over 50% maybe 30-60 mins ago. It looks like solar has increased a lot since this time last year (not researched, just a hunch)

Lots of wind today, so lots of low carbon/cheap energy on the grid right now, but the wholesale price is still relatively high. Let's get more windmills and batteries built 🌬️

5-year graph for context. The rouble fell sharply after the invasion before rallying quite strongly around June 2022. I’m not smart enough to make much sense of that, just thought it was interesting 🙂
