Fierce Protector, Umbral Prince, Would destroy the world for you, dark is not evil, unspoken love, weapon in the shape of a man, German shepherd

Who is Sophir Daygan?
Gentle Giant, battle scarred, loyal guardian, silent strength, touch starved (won't admit it), trauma made tender, golden retriever (with dragon claws)

Hot air, thick with sweat, beer, and smoke, clung to her skin as she climbed out of the cage. The mesh gate squealed behind her, chains rattling like bones. Hands reached out—slapping her shoulders, trying to snag a touch, a moment.
She ducked past them, weaving through bodies that stank and radiated filth, ignoring the leers, the shouted praises, the offers of shots and pills and other things whispered with slick smiles.
The arena pulsed under dim violet lighting, more haze than clarity, casting long shadows that stretched like claws. Neon vines spiraled up support beams, buzzing faintly with current, while graffiti glowed in splashes of green and red—sigils, names, curses. One tag stood out: a crescent moon carved into the word burn.
Dani smirked.
Cammy’s at it again.

“You know they’re going to stop us as soon as we get there,” he said, finally catching up to her.
“I don’t blame them for being worried,” she replied with a shrug, slowing to a trot. “After what happened to Myst? I won’t be surprised if they strip-search us for injuries.”
“Don’t give them any ideas,” he groaned. “My mother hasn’t seen me naked since I was a Mireling.”
As they navigated the crowded cobblestone street leading to the center of the Mire and the Umbral Hall, he studied each passerby for any signs of illness or injury. When he saw none, he felt torn between relief and worry.
No injuries on the street could mean they were either dead or with healers. Myst couldn’t have been the only Umbral injured by cultists; whoever was with them would have defended them. They were an heir just like him and would be protected like one. Anyone gravely injured would be in the Hall under his mother’s care instead of the healing houses.

Haven't been able to work my day job this week due to computer malfunctions, so I've been working on my hardcover design for my book.
