I can now reveal that I'm going to be on @questmarkers.bsky.social, my first ever podcast appearance!

There will be #HighwayNoir stuff as well other more general #IndieDev stuff

I can personally attest that the live session on Twitch is worth watching. Time/date to follow, come along!
we caught up because... @archangelsoftworks.co.uk will be coming onto @questmarkers.bsky.social in February to talk about the development of Highway Noir!

can't wait :)
Caught up with Marina earlier! This was after soundtracking chunks of my #HighwayNoir work to Lunar Aspect: her amazing composition for the game. If any of my fellow #IndieDev peeps need a soundtrack, she comes highly recommended as a collaborator

You can wishlist Highway Noir on Steam now! I maaay have had a hand in this one...
You certainly can knock against your pursuers until their health bar runs out. But it's much more effect to take them down with the PIT manoeuvre

You can wishlist #HighwayNoir now ;)

Yet another track has made it across the 10K line on Spotify! This time it's "The Green Children". This is one of the last tracks I wrote for Kynseed. I drew a dash of inspiration from Alexandre Desplat for this one:

I wish I had the stems of both songs. I could do some really cool mix-ups between these two songs! rave.dj/T75cDSbWwGVxjA

Another track on my Kynseed album went past 10K plays on Spotify. I'm forever grateful to my listeners!
The track was inspired by a scene from The Wicker Man which the game draws much inspiration from.

Another track has made it across the 10K mark on Spotify!
This time it's Evergreen. There's a flute in there that was intended to be played by its mystical shop keeper that you could hear from afar...

I think that at the heart of media music lies one core ability: Can you create a musical 'word' or 'sentence' that can be intuitively understood? One that can be taught in one or two scenes. If you can create any 'word' with music that way, you're good.

I used to dislike how much the composer world is navigated by having random encounters with random people. But now I quite appreciate that about it. You meet each other as just human beings first. Not business partners. Get to know who you're going in the pressure cooker with.

It's finally time for "Dreamy Day" to make it past the 10.000 plays on Spotify.
It's the track that started it all, the one where they said I got it right. The one where I knew I could do it.

Just as you stop speaking when you are done saying what you wanted to say, I feel a piece of music should end when it is done conveying its ideas.

I love that the modular synth system I've gathered over time is unique to me. It fits my way of thinking. It's got some fairly specialized modules in there with quite specific functions but even then it's a hugely versatile system. Modular synth has changed my path as a composer.

It needs about 5x its current votes to be considered but is especially in need of voters from: Spain, Ireland, Slovenia, Belgium

While I was abroad, another track sprinted past 10K plays on Spotify. I'm ever amazed at the longevity these tracks have shown and am so grateful people are still enjoying them. Link in comments.

Happy Holidays everyone!
I hope this year has given you good things, and loved ones to share them with. It is a strange time to be alive, and in such times we need each other. Extend each other a helping hand where you can and we will make it through anything.
Kindness matters!

According to Spotify, the biggest concentration of listeners I have is in Berlin. Hey, Berlin, I love you right back! 🫶

For those interested in seeing what composing for orchestra looks like on a computer... (notice the track number I encircled. THAT's why it takes roughly an hour per minute to compose for orchestra)

The song Rivermoor from my Kynseed album on Spotify has made it past 10.000 plays! I'm ever grateful for everyone who's still listening to my music 2 years after release! I never thought there were going to be so many of you!
Thank you!

I am SO happy that I went into modular synths. Every day it grows on me even more.

Ok, this is quite the experiment but I've uploaded a very experimental modular synth track and want to ask you all: If I made an entire album of this stuff, would that interest you?
