This is why I do not believe in 'democratic' Russia. Yes there must be a lot of decent Russians, but most of them abroad and the rest will achieve nothing.

Even within this war we see fast evolution. Future (not that distant) might be AI controlled drones autonomously hunting people.... and it would be extremely cheap, once you have some reasonable AI making a copy costs zero
