it’s not as funny but the real solution is speed cameras all over the place with fines that are means tested based on your tax return so even if you make a lot of money it super sucks to get one.

that we don’t have this shows that our leaders don’t give a shit or have 2 brain cells to rub together

we have our own version

if he crashes the economy, the rich will still have money, but asset prices will have fallen. everything will be on sale. so it actually works out great for billionaires.

whatever happens it always works out great for them unless the thing that happened is that socialists have been elected

back seat floor of the car is littered with old mapquest printouts covered with shoe prints. front passenger side has the big binder of CDs. color changing backlight on the stereo faceplate. there’s a remote control for it for some reason.

there isn’t a fair version of capitalism where people don’t cheat or exploit others. there, saved you 6 characters
November 8, 2025 at 10:28 PM
right, the ideology where you share with your fellow man. how reprehensible. the moral and just thing is to let a psychopath pedophile take 90% of the value generated by labor

whole point of bots is that they generate content automatically, it’d be trivial to produce tons of posts with a bot. you’re implying that the bot creator didn’t want to put in the effort to have posts, forgetting that the point of bots is that they require no effort? incoherent model of reality
September 22, 2025 at 4:29 PM
or maybe i just don’t post much and i mostly read others’ content? maybe i just made you realize you haven’t thought about this as much as you could’ve and now you’re uncomfortable so it’s easier to decide i must be a bot? most bots have tons of posts btw, that doesn’t even make any sense
September 22, 2025 at 4:22 PM
that is literally what capitalism is though. why else would you have private ownership of means of production if not for the owners to profit? i think this talk is illuminating and everyone should watch it youtu.be/mzhVLRbbvVA?...

say we do those things. then eventually the rich use the wealth they still have to lobby, bribe and manufacture consent to undo those changes. it’s inevitable when you allow extreme accumulation of wealth in the hands of a few that they’ll abuse it at everyone else’s expense. see: the 20th century

they copied many of my partner’s wedding dress designs (hers are made in California) and even stole her marketing photos to sell their cheap knock offs. her business started in 2016 and is not large.

shut up nerd

easy: yes. because meat is always bad for your health. it’s carcinogenic no matter how you prepare it.

granted this is a municipal tax rather than a federal one so perhaps not the most appropriate place to try to create an inequality-addressing tax on the wealthy but i feel like not enough people appreciate the concept of how we should take wealth away from the rich because it’s important to do so.
June 27, 2025 at 4:49 AM
counterpoint: we SHOULD take money away from the rich. simply to prevent them from having it. reducing inequality should be the highest priority if we want an equitable + sustainable society. 1% on income isn’t much considering how actual rich ppl make money on asset appreciation rather than income.
June 27, 2025 at 4:47 AM
2% on income *over* $1 mil would mean that only $100k is taxed 2%, for someone earning $1.1 mil.

Return to Zork was a point and click FMV game so probably pretty well. It’s news to me as well that it was for Playstation tho.

no, it isn’t.

the tariffs are a hidden regressive tax. it will help them keep the tax cuts for the rich. they’re moving the tax burden from billionaires to working people. you actually voted for more of the thing you hate, not less. you voted for people who hate you.

nah, 2-7 years too soon for that

you guys rule, i subbed a while back because of it. thanks for the stand you’re taking while so many others are caving like little cowards

it’s on purpose, though. they want to crash the economy. when the economy crashes, rich people still have money, and now suddenly everything costs a whole lot less. this is their plan to take even more from us.
February 19, 2025 at 6:27 PM
how does that work exactly?
