We've seen a number of those too sadly. Was hoping to get away from that here but alas...

In a recent episode of our show i suggested you could reskin pokemon trainer Gary Oak as a wizard. So case in point.

I find there's a lot of room for unconventional learning. Be it from unusual teachers, or complicated feelings towards that learning.

I think Wizard is my personal favorite. Lots of variety in build options with a great spell list/ way to expand it & with a cool DM, you can brew your own spells.

Of course I've not had a chance to play any of the others as a pc but I've dmd for all of them.

Working on my annual d&d reunion one shot where the players from my last campaign get together to play their old lv 19 pcs.

Currently one of my player's warlock patron is a djinn who deals in humanoid souls. They've made deals in the past, mostly for knowledge so far, but the good aligned warlock is very much against using this resource regularly. Because he's always around i get to chime in to spice up the situation.

Countless times my player thinks of something cooler than what I planned and makes their time harder.

I've done this so many times and it never fails to hit. Even to a tiger and gave it a young red dragon breath weapon, give the bite attack a d6 of fire damage and boom, original monster.

Idk I've definitely been at tables where this would've been worth the spell slot lol.
