But when I heard the original song in the context of remixing for the album, I immediately wanted to pitch it up and make a happy hardcore rave edit with an EPIC trance breakdown...

So, that's the story! And now go enjoy the remix!!!

Hardcore became very popular, and with all the attention came a negative general opinion. Which made me ashamed of liking the music, none of my friends in high school listened to it "because it was for nazis and junkies".

I had no idea it was for raves, that people did drugs. I just loved the energy that came from those early compilation CD's (and being a little teenage boy, I loved the corny scary artwork on the thunderdome cd’s!)

I went into an old obsession that I was embarassed about for years: I used to love happy hardcore and gabber when I was a little 11 year old Thys. I was in awe of the power of the music and the energy of the sounds.

The concept of the album is: "what would you say to yourself if you could speak to yourself as a child?"

I chose to remix his song with Kucka, which speaks about self-acceptance and hope.

would def uncook your brain to pick up a new instrument, it's one of the healthiest things to do to keep the brain flexy

Lol. Kidding. Just something funny that I noticed they all do.

All good, I know these kinds of formatting frames are helpful to structure something you’re making, and more so if these frames are memetically shared by more/most makers.
