NOT A LOVE STORY. It’s a story of a sociopathic pedophile’s male entitlement that the reader has to stay vigilant not to condone because the writing makes you like him and apologize for him. That’s the point. That we are easily fooled by beauty and will support horrors by equating it with goodness.
