The latest reference was in 2011, Dr Jekyll and Mr Fame by Black Cards (better known as Bebe Rexha and Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy). I'm ?!?! So baffled!!! This is like common knowledge!!!

I saw someone not know who Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde was... This is like... A classic literary work from the Frankenstein era of Horror. Referenced in many forms of media ever since it's creation in the 1880s. I've seen references to it all my life like Frankenstein and the axe murderer of New Orleans!

The video's creator, solid Pop artist. I don't really care for her music but she worked hard and is flipping off Spotify. I give her kudos for that but saying Indie and Independent threw me off because those words mean endearing deep sewer music with a shoegaze pedal to me.

This is 110% why Gen Z are already old people because I saw a well established Pop artist and was like "nah, you don't sound like your music was made in an obscure studio or bedroom and using old ass video equipment for music videos with shitty filters. That's not Indie."

With all do respect to that artist who made that video, you're an Independent Pop artist not an Indie Pop artist. There's a difference. Indie sounds like it's recorded in a sewer and uses the cheapest materials out there in a creative way by the poor and the rich to create innovative sounds.
