Mackems have second season syndrome written all over them.

I was so pleased for him. Terrible as Spurs were, we deserved that. The players are fully behind him which is great to see. He also made some bold calls tonight which worked out for him. He remains the clubs biggest asset in my opinion.

I think it says a lot about our centre forwards.

Two huge saves from their keeper at key times proved crucial. Very good away performance by them but we aren’t clever enough around the box. Watkins was a constant threat with his movement. Our two options just aren’t.

I think criticism about adapting tactically is valid. I also think the bottom of the league to 4th, 7th, 5th and a long awaited cup win is better than fine.

I think we’re the eighth highest wage budget. That tends to be the closest correlation to on field success. So we’re pretty much where we should be. I think he’s overachieved over time personally and fans sometimes get frustrated as it isn’t a linear progression post takeover.

He’s a brilliant player but his biggest asset is his character.

That’s the straw that has broken this camel’s back.

The set up was absolutely fine today. The decision making and lack of quality around the box was the issue. I am 100% behind the manager but a number of players have had too many chances. I’d like to see a ruthless side going forward.

Sensational.

I’m not a Liverpool fan, but his comments show zero self awareness. Nothing about his dreadful form. Past glories count for little.

Turns my stomach. What a circus.

People show their true colours when under pressure. His predecessor was the same.

He needed that last night. Hopefully he can stay fit and the confidence returns.

He could easily be from the same litter as our red fox.

I agree with all of the above. But is still like to hear it.

They need to do both. Fight fire with fire while also putting together some proper policies that people can believe in.

Someone needs to talk me through PSR again.

My read between the lines is EH thinks the situation is untenable in terms of retaining Isak while treading a careful political line. I agree. I think we need to somehow get ducks in a row (Wissa, AN Other up front, a centre back and quality cover in midfield) and tell Liverpool £140m is enough.
