So of course, sometimes parties need arbitration. Sometimes you have to figure out just how "Binding" a curse really is, sometimes the question of whether this spell is really past it's sell by date needs to be answered.

But on the other side, it's as stated, this very large scale operation of case workers and supervisors making decisions to allow or regulate magic in the mortal realm. Magic is often quite similar to "legalese", so the real nature of magic is also as established elsewhere quite "contractual".

On the side of realities where mortals live, the ones that are "tapped" in to magic, all the things we associate with them in fiction run true. Wizards, Witches, Sorcerers, whatever your conception or cultural POV they still more or less come off as per usual...

My own idea has always been that the actual Eldritch powers on the other side of the veil of realities, all the "Gods", magical forces, Demons, Djinns... It's all actually run like an insurance company or similar corporate services entity.
Think like the MCU's TVA but for magic.
