Just a silly thing i did using Blender, Phi as a "blank canvas" without any of the sauce an attitude that defines the character (because everyone knows that's a good way to redesign character, right?)

For those specific animations i was taking this two from Rush as a reference (notice how Sonic is leaning way more forward in this running animation), the same goes for his falling, idle and getting launch by a spring animations

More progress! I managed to complete Sonic's rig to a usable point and i've spent some time learning how to animate 3D models.

A list of poses for the Sonic 3D model using Sonic Mania's sprites as a reference point. Currently for the 3D model the next animations are placed: Base stance, walk, jog, run, boost, crouch, spin charge, spin attack, launched from a spring, falling, floating on a vertical fan and freezed.

i've been doing some research for some art and i just realized something, but it might be a stretch tho
"Kumadori is the theatrical makeup used to accentuate specific traits of a character in Kabuki performances, aiding the audience in understanding the character's nature. I managed to get some time to tweak this model a little bit more.
Hopefully i'll get enough time to fix the fur material, for some reason it reflects from certain angles and areas

A pixel art recreation of a cutscene in Sonic Rush in the Sonic advance/Sonic battle artstyle. In this cutscene Sonic and Blaze are getting pulled back to their respective dimensions, Sonic holds Blaze's hand as to stay with her a little bit longer before their dimensions go back to normal.
