Crafter, cat lover, coffee drinker, and collector of hobbies. My pronouns are ze/zem/zir. I mostly share my creations and some hiking photography here. Come say hello!

If you recognize me, well, hello from wherever I may know you from! The world is small.
Had a great weekend traveling the interdimensional worlds with the Global Write-In Crawl (globalwriteincrawl.wordpress.com)! It was exhausting but extremely rewarding. Next up is a Summer World Tour with @thecraftycollectiv.bsky.social, and @supremedoom56.bsky.social has just kicked us off!

After ten and a half months of work on and off, I've finished knitting my first shawl!

I may have spent basically all of my crafting time in February putting what I've learned about bookbinding into practice. I'm really excited to use this journal for keeping track of DM stuff for a D&D campaign soon. (Yes, a K-118 is supposed to bend this way!)

The 3 Rs: Reuse, Recycle, Raid Train pulls out of the station this afternoon! Words can't express how excited I am to participate with my fellow TCC Twitch streamers, and many thanks to @supremedoom56 for organizing it! You can find updates on the train at

I started this one about a year ago, also on 28ct evenweave, and it's been in time-out since I had to rip ~80 stitches out. I've done maybe 1,000 stitches out of the 122,694.

Good on you for finishing this incredible undertaking, @piescrossstitch.bsky.social! It's gorgeous, and I love the frame!
Here it is folks, the big one! This one is 122,694 stitches and took me 3 years to finish (off and on)

It’s stitched on 28ct evenweave (which means there’s 28 stitches per inch!)

Will get it signed one day hopefully!

Thanks to @darcylindbergh.bsky.social for the pattern

I've been pretty exhausted the past few weeks, but I started a tiny book bind this weekend. Still a work in progress, but it's easily the happiest I've felt working on something in years. It's FAR from perfect, but the act of putting something together at such a small scale has been so gratifying.

I've spent a couple of hours cuddling with the cats, and it's time to get back to knitting the Frosty Fern Shawl. Almost 100 rows are complete, and I'm still lacking words for how gorgeous these colors are from @sewroyal.bsky.social's July 2024 advent!

I'm on an adventure to learn blackwork embroidery with a few stitch alongs this year. I think it's going pretty well!

We've done 12 rows of our first ever MKAL tonight! Excited to see the blanket come together one square at a time throughout the year and to learn some new knitting techniques 😊

I'm finally making some real headway on this Frosty Fern Shawl after knitting 26 rows in early August and not touching it again until a week ago. I just unwrapped the third color from @sewroyal.bsky.social's July advent, and I'm loving all of the colors so far!

The Serpentine Socks have officially reached the gusset stage! I'm loving working this pattern, even if two skeins from the same dye lot look markedly different.

I finished a macrame bauble ornament tonight. There are definitely places where I could improve, but I think it turned out pretty well for my first one!

I know it's supposed to be a string of flowers, but I always think that this is a string of holiday lights. As always, beautiful #tatting work from a talented tatter.
Pattern is Fleurette Edging adapted from a vintage pattern by J. Paulson, available on her blog, www.leblogdefrivole.blogspot.com. I made it into a bracelet and it sold quickly at a market, I kind of wanted it for me but I can always make another.

True deal. Media mail saves so much money on shipping signed copies.
🚨 AUTHORS! 🚨

a postal worker just saved me a bunch of money because i didn't know this was a thing: if you ship a book, ask for "book right shipping" or "media mail." it's like half the cost of standard shipping & it's really useful if you're doing giveaways or mailing ARCs.

It's a bit late, but this is the pumpkin I painted this year. Entirely done with paint pens. Welcome to the Pumpkin Shire!

Can't wait for tourist season to end so I can get back to the loom! I just need to decide on a new project since this piece got taken off in May.

I can finally share the potato I crocheted! It was a surprise present for a wonderful streamer friend, and it was a lot of fun to create.

I recently learned how to do mosaic crochet, something I'd been curious about for ages, with the help of @thecraftycub, educator of all things crochet. You can find him at www.twitch.tv/thecraftycub

I started crocheting this blanket in December of 2023 and finished it in June of 2024. It's made entirely of spare stash yarn and ended up being a bit over a yard across. It's very comfy, and it's kitty-approved!

I recently took a printmaking class at the local arts center, and this is the #mountains print I made from it!

These are a couple of rubber duck amigurumis I crocheted a couple of winter holiday seasons ago. I can't recall where the rubber duck patterns came from, but the accessories were free-handed!

I got home at just the right time the other night to catch a panorama of this beautiful rainbow!

I went for an impromptu hike on Tuesday night! Though I quickly lost the trail and spent the rest of the hike searching for a way back to it, I had a great time enjoying nature.

Here are some of the photos I took before I fell and scraped up my leg. Then it was really time to find the trail again.
