In that brief moment between releasing from the spin mount and breaking out of the chamber wouldn’t it effectively be on a thrust-less parabolic trajectory in the vacuum chamber? I figured that would cause a momentary 0G before getting outside.

I wondered the same thing while watching. Sure, you can take the 10k during spin up. But what about the very short but instant transition to 0G when released but still in the spin chamber? Then instant decel along a diff vector once in atmo. Thats a lot of shocks in a lot of different directions.

I was under the impression that Starlink orbits, at least, were “relatively” safe because of their lower altitude. Things there would decay relatively quickly. If a Starlink is destroyed would its debris have much impact on higher altitude, longer lasting, orbits?
