I was thinking about this today too- my belief that she’s queer naturally led to my belief that she is “writing songs about men” as an vehicle for telling other stories, and that just makes for a much more interesting listening experience even when there’s nothing particularly gay happening

Like she really wanted to make sure we understood-through all shenanigans and games and fun- she gave her BLOOD SWEAT and TEARS for this (her work, her art, etc) she’s on her own cuz it’s lonely at the top but she’s able to be at the top because she prioritizes it over everything else
