And I never had a ps4 pro or any console that relied on that kind of upscaling for similar results that can be achieved natively on pc. I just have a regular PS4, PS5 & Switch

I was mostly saying it in jest, and sure, most aren't native 4K, true, but that doesn't mean it's all terrible. At least in my experience. Most of the games I play nowadays aren't even recent ones that utilize that fake shit anyway. Many of them are pre-2016 when checkerboarding started.
