Galarian Zapdos is a technical rushdown character with tons of quick movement and flashy air combos. Its skill ceiling is very high, and to an extent so is its skill floor; G.Zapdos has some unique handling requirements & really wants some lab and wiki time. This is a fairly unoptimized example.

Toxicroak is a powerful zoner with an array of projectiles and excellent pokes to control space. Its win condition is Toxic Bubble, a 3-bar super that puts an unblockable bubble trap on screen (analogous to Fish's bubble in Vampire Savior, if you've seen that). Bubble combos do a billion damage.

Bewear's what a true grappler would look like if they could also run and had extra air movement. Terrifying mon. This combo is a recent development, showcasing buffs from the latest patch.

Mienshao's got a pixie thing going on, with quick movement, annoying high/lows, a divekick and soaring air combos. They have great tools for getting in, but suffer when they can't, with low HP and mostly rushdown character-sized buttons.

I'm away from home but that hasn't stopped me from labbing combos in a fighting game I don't compete in on the Steam Deck pad. Never doubt me. 27 damage for one bar is insanely optimized: that's 61% on the game's max health char and nearly 70% on the game's shoto
