The actual process was pretty relaxing for me! They test your tolerance before going ahead so you can trade off doing more sessions at lower power or fewer at higher. I doubt it'll be too much for you especially if you sit through tattoos and stuff. Not sure about places other than the face tho.

I went for about 8 months before the place told me it wasn't likely to have more of an effect. I think it was to do with contrast between skin tone and facial hair colour.

Even then it definitely did thin things out and make shaving easier.
