I finally found this letter I received from Tom Lehrer in 1995. I’d written him just a fan letter in college and this was a reply. I never did use The Elements as an audition piece. If you haven’t listened yet, I highly recommend Dr. Demento’s tribute to Tom Lehrer from a few weeks ago.

I miss this show.

I’ve been researching the history of pro wrestling in Klamath Falls, OR. There’s a great website that lets you search historic Oregon newspapers (link below) and it’s been fun seeing what was in the daily paper from long ago. Love these two ‘column filler gems’ from a 1939 Herald & News.

Bluesky is fine but the button to jump back up to the top of your feed is right where your thumb is for scrolling when using an iPad.
