While I do think this is a contributing factor (be it consciously or unconsciously), it’s a symptom of the troubling lack of art & media literacy and obtuseness to metaphor and allegory, resulting in a very shallow or even arguably no understanding of said thing. Consumption without comprehension.

(PS. hopefully my responses don’t come off as rude or directed at you personally)

The topic never changed. Your question seems to suggest ‘autotune’ is a magic wand that creates talent. It can’t change bad technique, and pitch control is not the single defining trait of a good singer.

Tape speed tricks as well. Either during recording or in post.

Playing with tape speed was common practice to fix pitch issues before autotune/melodyne etc. These horrible takes and memes always bother me. ‘Pop/new music bad because no guitar grrr!!’ Like power chords are a such a staple of talent and pitch correction wasn’t/isn’t widely in rock and metal too…

Oh, here it is.

Still, top glass isn’t getting big enough.

This is completely wrong, actually. The top glass isn’t getting big enough, and the ones underneath aren’t getting crushed under the weight.

Millennial here. Almost everyone I grew up with either owned, or at least knows how to drive a standard. I’ve personally never owned an automatic in my entire driving life. I think your take may be misguided. 🤷‍♂️
