When the wombat comes, he will find me gone.
Meanwhile the number of dogs is catching up with the number of kittehs.

And of course the obvious point, right at the top of the comments thread.

Genuine question: why do companies actually employ people to send out this kind of happy horseshirt?

Yes I can unsubscribe, and have now done so. But I’m mystified about why this even exists in the first place? Who actually thinks “oh yes, I must tell every customer about this pointless nonsense”?

Hey @seetickets.bsky.social, this wasn’t very well thought out, was it?

Let’s step quickly past whatever stupid reason you may have thought you had for not porting passwords across to your new “system”. You then compounded that error by making this email look
*exactly* like a phishing attempt.

It’s not theft because @dingram2909.bsky.social sent this to me.

Meta AI and/or the “algorithm” doing a great job here. It’s a pair of passive speakers… 🤦🏻‍♂️

This is such a disgrace. On Monday I had an email saying that my direct debit was increasing and now this.

I’d be curious to hear if anyone can explain how using a watering can uses less water than a hose with a spray gun?

At Islington Academy for Red Box.

Hey Google, if we opt out of your “AI” nonsense (I can do that, right?) can we stay at the old price?

No. I thought not.

Apparently some of these gigs are at risk of cancellation, so please if you’re considering it please book
ASAP.

If you’ve never seen them, they’re always great value and deserve your support.

BBC “Science & Technology” strikes again. This piece is so astonishingly poor that even they eventually realised that they had to change the original headline, which was ridiculous even for them.

South coast line to and from Manchester is fubar. A broken rail, apparently.

As a teenager, three albums changed my concepts of what guitar music was all about. Remain In Light and Discipline were the well known ones. I Advance Masked was the third.

So this was an essential buy. I’m pleased to confirm that the third disc isn’t just padding, it really is a third lost album.

Unfortunately it seems that those of us who are less aware of economic terminology are about to learn a new one.

Slow handclap for the orange toddler.

The only Lords amendment to the Great British Energy Bill that was removed yesterday was a clause demanding a guarantee that there would be no slave labour in the supply chain.

We’ve followed the avant rock awkward squad up the M3 to Basingstoke.

A current and very simple example. I could post this screengrab, but a quick check out of the window confirms that it’s not snowed at all this morning. Which “fact” is correct?

Meanwhile, if you’re ever in Hexham, Shire Gate is the place to come for breakfast. And dog friendly as well.

Honeyglaze at Heartbreakers. If quirky art rock with shifting time signatures and a whiff of Radiohead atmospherics is your thing, go and see them. Oh, and the vocalist reminds me of Regina Spektor for some reason. They deserve to be huge.

A couple of years ago I ticked off a bucket list item when I finally got to see Crash Test Dummies in London. Tonight they’re playing within walking distance of home!
