So, we continue to hurtle towards climate chaos because we continue to sacrifice human dignity and our planet's integrity within our current, status quo, limitless economic growth on our finite living planet, "greed is good" economy. More info here: doi.org/10.1093/bios...

Let us go deeper into the sources of our current ecocidal habits!
Is our kosmos a unity of body-soul-Heart?
Or, is our cosmos a Cartesian body-mind bifurcation?
The Cartesian worldview of res extensa vs res cogitans, of objective facts vs subjective values, favours machines, not human empathy.

Australia is a world leader in ecocide, and, per capita, in greenhouse gases emissions.
But too few want to know.
And too few want to change our morally corrupt neoliberal status quo.
As yet, too few want to talk about inter-generational sustainability, which takes care of everybody's needs.

Once upon a time,
human beings agreed that life was about overcoming selfishness to be in tune with the Heart of All Living Beings.
A person grew from child to adult to wise & compassionate elder.
Inter-personal relations and collective organisations also needed to grow to be compassionate & wise.

The growth rate of greenhouse gas (GHG) climate forcing increased rapidly in the last 15 years to about 0.5 W/m2 per decade, as shown by the “colorful chart” for GHG climate forcing that we have been publishing for 25 years.
The chart is not in IPCC reports.

How many people truly understand and care about
inter-generational equity?
truly sustainable ways of living?
Unleashing GREED, at individual and collective scales, to max profits for economic elites is not sustainable.
Because everybody suffers significant losses in moral dignity and living nature.

GTDF is an arts/research collective that uses this website as a workspace for collaborations around different kinds of artistic, pedagogical, cartographic, and relational experiments that aim to identify and de-activate colonial habits of being, and to gesture towards decolonialfutures.net.

How valid is this insight in Australia?
Vic Labor is going hard on crime, failing to work to change alienated youth into citizens with dignity, concerned with the dignity of people and the integrity of Nature.
National Labor is ready to destroy Nature to be allegedly in their economic good books.

James Hansen's reading of climate science:
November 14, 2025 at 1:45 AM
James Hansen, remember him?
He told the US Congress in 1988 what was happening within our climate crisis.
Well, what is he saying now?
He does not agree with the IPCC status quo!
He says: "1.5C limit long dead; 2.0C is on its deathbed."
If he's right, most of us are living in our lalalands!

Compassion is good!
November 13, 2025 at 12:35 AM
More compassion please!
For our youth!
For our adults!
For our elders!
For all of life on our precious planet!

Human beings!
Let us learn to live compassionately with each other.

The project to make Australia an international light in securing human rights for all humans, and for living sustainably (intergenerational equity) within nature's planetary boundaries is in deep trouble.
So, we fail to carry our duty of care to ourselves and younger generations.

James Hansen brings groundbreaking findings that explain why global temperatures suddenly spiked in 2023-2024, leaving even climate scientists baffled. His research reveals that we've entered a period of accelerated warming that changes everything we thought we knew about climate timelines.

Meanwhile, we are living amidst ecological overshoots of 7 of 9 planetary boundaries.
The UN Sec Gen said: It is absolutely indispensable to change course in order to make sure that the overshoot is as short as possible and as low in intensity as possible to avoid tipping points like the Amazon.

Who's living in lalaland?
Are our politicians correct in their readings of our current situations, given 50 years of ecological overshoots with escalating social failures in Australia, www.collapsemusings.com/overshoot-wh...?
Are these scientists correct in their work, www.preventing2degrees.org?

Please correct me if this is wrong.
Sustainability is meeting the needs of both current and future generations.
Current sustainability standards fail to address all human beings living within the context of ecological limits.
No mention of sustainability in new Act.

Thank you for your response.
Thurm refers to sustainability definition authorized in UN Brundtland report in 1987.
PM Bob Hawke wrote Foreword, Oz ed., Our Common Future in 1990.
Sadly, no Australian government operates sustainably.
Senator David Pocock is still fighting for his Duty of Care bill.

I'm afraid much of importance will be neglected at this summit.
Our climate crisis is only a part of our current state in ecological overshoot.
Sustainability is meeting the needs of both current & future generations (UN, Brundtland, 1987).
We are doing neither within neoliberal business-as-usual.
