The second time my insurance company, Canada Life, has denied my electrolysis claim (yes I have gender affirmation coverage). This time it's because the prescription (that I have and says is medically necessary!) does not include *specifically* the words "emotional trauma". Fucking evil.

Wait a minute climbing nightshade is also known as poisonberry? I would've been so much more interested in nature as a kid if somebody told me poisonberry was climbing nightshade!

ADHD's incredible because 1000 years ago I could've spotted threats to my village or sailed into the unknown to build new trade relations, but nowadays I can see a goldenrod while experiencing the majesty of nature and get the Super Mario RPG battle music stuck in my head.

I saw my first pictured-wing fly! At first it looks like an ant was eating something weird, and even the bug identifier apps think it's either an ant or an Asian hornet.
