okay, that one was not true. my life has been fairly interesting but “arrested for robbing a circle k in florida” is not quite the right flavor of interesting, or contains slightly too much paprika.

yeah, definitely different. there is a really effective multinational campaign to drive trans people from public life into isolation & desperation & misery right now. “you don’t get access to our reportage & calls to action & insights because fuck you, bitch” is a such a betrayal of solidarity.

i don’t really know shit about comics but i was around in 92 for when they founded image because marvel/dc took your characters away from you & i think it fucking rocks that the trans actress who originated the role gets to pilot the character on the page? gotta assume there was a fight for that.

okay, my update here was that this was great & i think it’s cool as fuck that nicole maines has gotten to pretty exclusively (?) drive the character?
like, i think i’ve got every dreamer appearance now and i think she’s at least co-writer on all of them?
