Except for Edward Gorey and the Quay Brothers, I can't think of another artist who influenced me as profoundly as David Lynch.

I'm pretty proud of this: two of our reporters have written a series about the role of tribal colleges in Montana and I had the privilege of designing a logo for it. One thing I wanted it to reflect was the role of nature/the environment in Native American culture and I think I pulled it off.

The little creature in my profile is a monster I drew for the Missoula Monster Project. I have drawn a monster for that fundraiser every year since 2016! And I am super proud of all of them (can't find 2017 for some reason).

So a lot of lino artists say to paint the lino to make it easier to see what you are doing and it's very smart and totally works, but neglected to mention that it pretty much makes the carbon paper not work. 🙃 I had to redraw it all again with Sharpie.
