I’ll add— I am SO HAPPY they get to see their families. I’m stressed because we’ll come back after they’re off school for 7 weeks and take a high stakes English assessment after they’ve only spoke Spanish for those 7 weeks.

Today, I thank The Three Nations, the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi, for carrying the spirit of the land and caring for the place I call home. You tended and loved these Great Lakes for thousands of years before Europe claimed land that wasn’t for sale. 2/4
