Oh yes, the eyeless blobs, yuck. If they don’t get the roots to grow from a leaf node, they won’t make eyes. Some who sell cuttings don’t know this. You can get roots out of the stock, but they won’t eye up the next year even if they have nice looking tubers.

Do you ever notice the cutting tubers aren’t always as good quality on average? Sometimes I think they have a bit more rot. I’ve had some great ones too most definitely too but not sure the average is as good.

That sounds lovely. Takes the pressure off but I guess you have the cold temperatures settle in fast then?

Oh my goodness that’s a lot!!!! Yesterday I cleaned my work area of the garage and started lifting today. So much rain coming, it was nice to have the soil so dry today.

I completely understand the mourning of family that is still alive. That’s what the past few years of my life has been all about. It’s a journey and it takes time but it does get easier. Plus, why in the hell would you mourn CK! Ridiculous. Sending love friend

I can’t say I’ve followed super close on the UK, but from what I’ve seen, I haven’t been impressed. Glad we did our trip to Ireland this year, loved it. Was thinking England next year but maybe Netherlands instead.
I did find it interesting how many people in Ireland had the same complaints as here

Such a special one. I hope to grow several next year in hopes to have a decent amount of tubers the following year. You don’t even want to know what I paid for it🫣

Storage is tricky. I’ve lost them all to getting frozen before. Our new home had an independent heater in the garage so it’s amazing cause it can set it really low so they don’t freeze. I store them in vermiculite after dividing.
