I’m just going to drop this here for International Women’s Day.
Being an American living abroad, I’m also feeling the need to start wearing it every day.

Finally finished this quilt I tried to squeeze into the last days of 2024. It recaps my word of the year, the intentions behind it, the projects I made and the people I lost. Lots of little messages packed into a seemingly empty quilt 🤍🤍

Sometimes making tiny optimistic things helps hang onto a thread of positivity in this messed up world.

Taking a deep dive into aesthetics in Heidi Parkes‘s year-long quiltmaking class. After reading about the Aesthetics of Joy, I started this experiment in abundance. Halfway through I realized I’m making a mini version of my circle quilt 🤷🏻‍♀️

Sorry, there’s no nice way to put it.
In light of all the awful things happening in the world right now- just a declaration that I intend my tiny corner of the internet to be a safe, supportive and understanding place. Where people are fee to live their truths and celebrate who they feel they are.
