I encountered this lonely bauble in a scraggly park lilac bush. I didn’t manage to catch the accompanying robin that came flying out from behind it in the picture (not even joking.)

I love how these are a little like clouds, with some imagination, you can see all sorts of shapes in them.

I’m sure these brambles briefly felt very smug about themselves before the clematis said: ‘Hold my beer.’

I spotted these and it took me a minute to realise there’s probably a tree stump under there….somewhere.

Some accidental puns only apply to very arcane overlaps of languages and proximity to niche hobbies 😆

I made soda muffins and they’re actually sort of ok? The texture is better than I expected and they’re only a little bit blobby because soda bread waits for no one. Still trying to decide whether I’m Nordic-adjacent enough to appreciate the caraway, though 😅

I found a lovely arts-and-crafts-y/Amsterdam school-ish oak paperweight once that I use as a pattern weight for fabric. Then, last year, I found these what originally were some stain samples. They are solid oak and all I had to do was unstaple them from their folksy connecting rope and fit a handle.

I used to think storks were near-mythical creatures. There was the whole baby-delivery thing and I never really saw them in the wild. Now they just randomly stand around between apartment buildings impersonating lawn flamingos….
